Unfortunately, yes — deer love tulips. Daffodils, however, are toxic to deer and are largely left alone. Alliums (ornamental onions) are also deer-resistant and make a beautiful addition to spring beds. If deer pressure is high in your area, consider planting a mix of daffodils, alliums, and muscari rather than relying heavily on tulips.
